Fahamu is commissioning an evaluation its two year Oxfam Novib funded Emerging Powers in Africa Initiative. The evaluation will establish the extent to which the activities have contributed to fulfilling the objectives elaborated above. Between March 5 – 11, 2012, women small scale farmers from five West African countries gathered in Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso for the Institute on Resource Rights and Change as part of the ongoing support that Fahamu is providing to members of the We Are the Solution campaign for food sovereignty and agro-ecological solutions.
During the institute, the women participated in an exchange with Burkinabe famers. Hear them share their own knowledge and practices for a sustainable future!

Fahamu through our Emerging Powers in Africa initiative has completed the selection process of five journalists from applications
received from Media professionals in print, broadcast, radio and online fora from Africa, India, China and Brazil.
The journalists have been chosen to participate in the Summit and provide analysis and insight on the events during the 4-day visit.
